I sincerely hope she comes home soon,or her friends & family get the answers they are looking for! My thoughts are with you all in this difficult time.. ♥

  • Murray Scott
  • The RCMP have have not let Eldon and Dawn know that much about their investigation other than that are still following up on all their tasks. The RCMP do not give out much information during an active investigation as not to compromise the process. They still have 14 members on the case and have two new investigators brought in to review the case to date and hopefully provide a different perspective.
  • We do know the RCMP have done a lot questioning of the people at the party, and some have been questioned multiple times. Friends and family are still searching areas, checking out leads from psychics, putting up posters, and talking to as many people as possible.
  • It appears there were around 46 people at the party Friday night, mostly 18 to 25 years old, and a few older partiers up to 40 years old. Almost all are from the Vanderhoof area. Either Madison was left to camp by herself or left with someone else, though information to date says she was left there by herself. A couple of the partiers were back at Hogsback campsite the next day cleaning up and saw her tent and truck there but did not check if she was in the tent. There was a large party of around 150 people at the Hogsback campsite the next night, and no one saw Madison.
  • We hope the RCMP are making headway with their investigation.
  • If you know anyone who attended the party please stress them to them to come forward with any information, its time to do the right thing and bring Madison home.

One Month later, Madison Scott is Still Missing

Prince George, B.C.-It’s been one month since Madison Scott disappeared from the Hogsback Lake area South of Vanderhoof and there’s still no sign of the 20 year old girl.  Sergeant Rob Vermeulen says the investigation continues to be a priority for the North District Major Crime Unit and the Vanderhoof RCMP. “We are continuing to follow up on a number of tasks that the file and the public has generated.”  Vermeulen says they are still asking anyone who was in the area the weekend of May 28th to come forward. He says they are still looking for her iphone 4 and her keys which may be on a black gothic lanyard

. Madison’s parents offered a reward of $15,000 last week for information leading to their daughter’s safe return.

Missing woman’s parents offer $15,000 reward, 20-year-old last seen May 28 (from The Vancouver Sun)

The family of a woman who disappeared from the Vanderhoof area last month have offered a $15,000 reward for information leading to her safe return.

“We are hopeful and continue to believe that someone out there has the information we need to bring our daughter home,” parents Eldon and Dawn Scott said in a statement released Tuesday.

“Please, search your heart, search your mind and review your memory and call the RCMP with any bit of information you may have,” the parents said.

“We love our daughter. We need her back home

. We need to find her. Please help us.”

Their 20-year-old daughter, Madison Scott, was last seen May 28 out at Hogsback Lake, just south of Vanderhoof, which is located in northern B.C. along Highway 16.

The highway between Prince Rupert and Prince George has been dubbed the Highway of Tears because so many teenage girls and young women have been gone missing or were found murdered in communities along that stretch of road.

Madison vanished after attending a party at the lake.

Police found her tent and pickup truck, but the investigation has determined there are two items that have yet to be recovered: her new iPhone 4 that had a bluish green or turquoise shell/skin cover, and her large bundle of keys, which has a Ford truck key on it.

The keys may or may not be on a black, gothic-themed lanyard, police said.

The two items were last seen in Madison’s possession and have not been located, despite a massive search effort by the RCMP, Search and Rescue and civilian volunteers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Vanderhoof RCMP at 250-567-2222 or those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
