  • Just had an interesting comment/thought to make after only just seeing the CBS 48 hours show on the Highway of Tears *though I do recall hearing of Maddy’s disappearance in the news very briefly a ways back.
I wondered about her rings pretty much the moment her friend Jordi had mentioned them.

I felt strongly that your beautiful daughter likely knew the person(s) she left with perhaps for a walk etc… it seems to me that it would be far easier to return knowing she’d be alone… after all I think your daughter likely knew what was going on, to missing women on the highway quite close to her and would have immed called if something was wrong or avoided putting herself in a potentially dangerous situation…

Back to her rings… who purchased them for her? I would think she purposely removed them for a reason. I only say this because many times in the past when bff’s and I discussed what we’d do if in a similar situation (though talking about actually knowing the person) we mentioned leaving items of jewelry ‘scattered’ as a way to signal to others whom we went with voluntarily or not.

This is a common thing to scatter or attempt to leave a clue behind for loved ones. Jordie mentioned she ‘never took these items off’ so it would lead me to think that there was a concise reason for doing so and also the likelihood she knew the person(s) who returned to the campsite.

Where was the cell phone at 7:00 A.M. Saturday morning? Finger prints on the rings?
